Activity: SGBA Evidence Process (3)

These additional charts provide more information about who, among Canadians, is obese.

Things to note: these charts are about Canada overall and they do not tell a story about time trends.  This is often the case — that your evidence pieces relate to each other, but are not directly comparable. However, you can begin to fit the evidence pieces together more and more. [1]

So far you have evidence about:

  • How obesity has changed over time in Canada
  • How obesity has changed over time in each province
  • Which ethnic groups are at greater risk for obesity and by sex!

These charts and others that you might find for your health authority, province, or other location, are beginning to build an evidence picture of who, when and where.
